Who we are

Futurity is an AI-native research and development studio based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. We build Interface, our platform for AI-powered business solutions, along with other tools that make work more intuitive.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit our website, get in touch with us or otherwise interact with us outside a customer agreement. When we say “Futurity”, “we”, “us” or “our”, we mean Futurity, the organisation responsible for that information.

02

Information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you send us a message, email or call us, we collect what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, role and the content of your message.
  • Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our servers and service providers record technical details such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages and the date and time of your visit.
  • Information from others. We may receive business contact details from partners, event organisers or public professional sources when you have, or may have, a business relationship with us.
03

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your messages and requests, and keep a record of our conversations.
  • Operate, secure and improve the website, and understand how it is used.
  • Explore, provide and support our products and services, including Interface.
  • Send updates you have asked to receive. You can opt out at any time.
  • Prevent misuse, protect our rights and meet our legal obligations.
04

Legal bases for processing

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: your consent; steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you; our legitimate interests in running and growing our business, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and compliance with our legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

05

Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies that it needs to work properly. Where permitted, and with your consent where required, we may also use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the website. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features may not work as intended.

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.

06

Interface and customer data

This policy covers our website and our direct communications with you. When businesses use Interface or other Futurity services, we process the information they provide on their behalf under our agreement with them, and that agreement governs how it is handled. If you use a product built by one of our customers, please contact that customer with questions about your data.

07

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that host the website, provide email and communication tools, or help us analyse and secure our services, under contracts that limit how they use it.
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, auditors and insurers, where needed.
  • Authorities and others when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Futurity, our customers or others.
  • A buyer or successor as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, who will continue to protect it in line with this policy.
08

International transfers

We and our service providers may process personal information in countries other than the one where you live, which may have different data protection laws. When we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps to keep it protected as described in this policy and as required by law.

09

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, such as responding to your enquiry or maintaining a business relationship, or for as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymise it.

10

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information or limit how we use it.
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@futurity.technology. We may need to verify your identity before we respond. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

12

Children

The website and our services are designed for businesses and professionals. They are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, contact us and we will delete it.

13
